I know nothing about them but they caught my attention after watching a years old anodizing tutorial on YouTube. This guy was working on an unknown model of theirs that looked absolutely stunning. I’ve since tried to find it again but for the life of me I can’t. I don’t know if they took it down.

So what’s the consensus on Two Sun? Good, bad or indifferent? I’ve never even handled one, so can’t speak towards build quality, but the sheer number of beautiful designs I’ve seen on various websites have been pretty damn impressive. At least from an aesthetic standpoint. The prices seem so reasonable that I’m thinking I might have to give them a shot. But then on the other hand I wonder if they aren’t cutting corners where it counts? I’m pretty curious.

How about it? Can any of you guys that have had first hand experience with them share your thoughts?

I was on a Twosun kick for a while and picked up a bunch of their knives. In the under $100 category, I think they might have the best offerings out there. They go above similarly priced knives with features like titanium handles with carbon fiber inserts, CNC machined clips, strong flipper detents, lockbar inserts, and good steels. They can have some rough edges, though. Supposedly, they don't really prototype, so the designers have to get it right on the first try. Certain models turn out much better than others. On a side note, their kitchen knives are even more impressive than their folders.

I own several TwoSun and never got one that was not razor sharp. They good about getting the grind thin behind the edge, their hollow grinds and compound grinds are really well done. They make a nice knife.

I've been eye alling this absolutely gorgeous chef knife that was made by twosun. 14C28N. Its like 50 bucks. I don't know why I haven't bought it yet but it will end up here. Can't go wrong really.

Which one were you looking at? I've picked up a bunch of them and might have tried the one you're looking at. They punch wayyyy above their price point; my TS601 handles very similarly to my Zwilling Kramer collab. They also have some in unique blade shapes that are useful for specific niches like the TS-807.

TS901 it's called. Its just got this wonderful shape. Nice handle.

My knives are all commercial and they're great, I just got some new ones too.. but it would be nice to have a good looking blade like that and still not have to worry too much about it if someone else gets ahold of it.

Oh nice, I have the TS912 from the same designer also with ironwood handles, it was released around the same time. They put a decent finish on the wood; I got the more radical blade shape for variety but I'm sure you'll be happy with the more versatile 901. Twosun does a nice grind on their kitchen blades.

I have the TS866 Chef's Knife in 14c28n and two of their Titanium pens. The knife came in a box with a black plastic blade sheath, fully oiled. The edge was razor sharp and had no defects or blems. The edge is thin grind, is so sharp I was able to pierce clamshell packaging and cut downwards with little effort.

The first pen that I purchased was the TSPEN10.In the photos,it looked great but in hand had weird aesthetics, some mildly sharp edges, and un broached interior that made a scratching sound everytime the bolt lock was used.

My second pen the PEN18 is another story beautifully finished and good aesthetics. The marble like anodizing is nice and the extended pen has absolutely no movement. Pushing the tip of the pocket clip the pen retracts with authority. Twosun products can be a hit or missing but they are budget tools.

Not the Cold Steel knife in this pic , just the shiny titanium thingamajig , looks vaguely pen-like :

Only TwoSun product I've got . Great price at auction, mailed from China . Nicely machined , seems like good quality .

Impulse buy , still not sure exactly what it's for ! :p

Ive had a couple and they are fantastic quality for the money. But for whatever reason, to me they just felt a bit...souless? I dont know how to explain it but I couldnt gel with them.
Quality wise I had no complaints at all

I only buy doodads from the far east. I have a couple of box cutters and pry bar type thingies buy two sun - not bad. Only go real inexpensive on the auctions.
