The first thing is vodka, it makes my life more enjoyable.
The second thing is the Voyager, large, from cold steel.
I bought it about a month ago as a birthday present for myself.
You think, i must be a lonley boy ? Aaaand- you are right.
Anyway, i love my Voyager so much, that it kicked my BM 710 D2 out of
my right jeans front pocket. And so it became my new EDC.
The tri ad lock is the No 1 lock in my book, followed from the axis lock.
What i love about this lock is his brute strengh and the loud "click".
Also, i can easy open and close the Voyager onehanded.
Other things, i love on this knife : The safe grip of the handle, that fits in my hand so
well, the safety of the front finger choil (you never will slip with your fingers on the
blade), the fit and finish (blade centered perfectly, no play in any directions, sharp as a hot girl out of the box). Great every day size, sturdy construction with liners (i know, that a Recon with it's only G10 handle is enough, but i ama old fashioned dog, and i like the feeling of 'enough, plus a little more'.
Maybe the reason, i drive an old Volvo 940 turbo: cheap, reliable, simple and nearly unbreakable.
Other things, i like the knife : screwed construction, nice stonewash finish, tip up, the design of the blade reminds me of a bowie knife, little iron crosses to improve the grip...
Thanks Andrew Demko, thanks Lynn Thompson for the tri ad lock and the Voyager.
Maybe, i was getting a little bit enthusiastic, but i enjoyed a few drinks... you know,
my other love with "Vo".
Also many thanks to every knife friend, who was reading my text, you know, i'm a lonley guy. My girlfriend liked knives, but she left me a few monhts ago.
And my two or three friends are not into knives, they accept it on me, but maybe only, because i'm a little strange anyway.
So you are the only one, who understands me, here on bladeforums.
Thanks, and have a nice day.

Rome.

I love my Cold Steel Voyager XL w/clip blade. I bought it strictly for the "cool" factor, but I have been surprised by how much utility it offers. It's a very useful knife that I really enjoy carrying; however, I still want to get a Large Voyager for EDC.
