Here are a couple of Tibetan Thees I picked up while I was in Nepal. One is a beautifully done tourist oriented Thee. You can probably guess which one. The blade has a dragon and peacock painted on it and nicely done. Meant for show and not for go.

Specs:

Overall length 13 & 3/8
blade length 8
blade thickness 1/8
weight 10 oz.

Next is the real Thee. Silver scabbard with gold plate. The plating is done by rubbing 24 carat gold onto the silver. The blade is a big rough but very good steel. Handle is bone of some kind, maybe yak, and aged. I figure this knife is maybe 30 or 40 years old. It has a loop for a chain on back of scabbard and is meant for neck carry. This is the real thing.

Specs:
overall length 9 & 1/4
blade length 5 & 5/8
thickness about 3/16
weight 5 oz.

Price for tourist version is $95
Price for real one is $195

Call or email if interested. These are the only two I brought back but I can get more if anybody wants one.

Perfect for the RenFaire, although you really need the matching "Thous" and maybe a "Ye".

On a more sane note, there's a third picture, Bill typo-ed the last bracket (no biggie):

Thanks, Jim.

I probably paid too much for both of them. I bought them from a dealer and when they see a white monkey the price goes WAY up.

The real one is a pretty decent knife. The other belongs on a desk -- neat letter opener and good conversation piece.
