Thought I'd post a couple regular knives to give your eyes a rest from ogling all those incredible blade show beauties!!

These are heading north of the border to a fellow forum friend

The bigger one is 8.5" o.a.l. with clay/polished 3.5" 1095 blade, Ebony with Spalted Tamerind overlay on a full tapered tang. It has a black shark overlay sheath with 6-7 oz. steer hide core, gold dyed deerskin lining with roll top.

The smaller one is 7.5" o.a.l. with clay/polished 3" 1095 blade, Desert Ironwood Burl on a full tapered tang. It has a dark brown shark overlay sheath with 2-3 oz. steer hide core, dark brown dyed deerskin lining with roll top.

Thanks......comments, questions welcome,

Dave

Super good stuff Dave.

May I ask....... where did you get those "clips"? You can PM me for the answer, as I think I might know.

Thanks for showing us this fine work.

Robert

Dave, you know how much I like your style!

Great work as always!

-Michael

Thanks Robert, I sent you an email earlier but just realized you said PM not email!

Thank you Keith!!

Thank you Michael!!

Thanks Joe, very happy you still like your knife!!

Dave

Wow Dave, they are gorgeous.
Handles, blades, sheaths all go so well together.
You really got the dye on the deerskin very close to the handle colors.
Nice touch.

WOW Dave. Those are both MUCH more than regular knives.

I was expecting to see a couple of plain utility knives but everything about those is much more than regular.

VERY functional looking design, beautiful wood, killer hamons and superb sheaths.

Well done,
Peter

Dave fantastic work on all accounts. I really like the one you made me.

It was your stag piece that got me on the horn to Dave. These two will be Canada-bound, one for work, one just to keep. Looking forward to them.

My thoughts exactly.

Roger

Roger, those knives ARE Dave's "just regular". Wait until you see some of his Really extra ordinary stuff.:D

Paul

Thank you Kevin! Those are factory dyed deerskins, I did add a little color to better match the handles.

You're welcome Robert, I agree, he is a great guy!

Thanks Peter, Right before I posted this thread I just finished admiring Burt Foster's amazing sub-hilt..........that's why I said regular knives :)

Thanks Roger, wish I could hand deliver these to you at Blade!

Seems like the last few years I've been saying I'll see you and Sandy at the Blade show next year Paul, I WILL see you next year!! Have a great time!
