Anyone who has studied for a business degree has seen dozens of case studies of small businesses which have thrived because of the vision
and drive of their founders, only to grow to the point where they lost sight of the special qualities that got them where they were in the first place.

Imagine how tempting it must be, in the face of increased demand and
customer impatience, to indulge in mass production practices which would move more product and, for a while, increase profits while mollifying customer impatience. (Truth be known, the reason we have not seen a folder is probably the difficulties inherent in making a folder which would uphold the Busse reputation and be worthy of the Busse guarantee.)

All I have to say is, Jerry, please don't do it. I know you won't.
I am willing to wait as long as it takes for the quality that we have come to expect from Busse Combat.

Mike,

We are about to make an announcement that should directly address this issue. Thanks for your insights. This has been a very heated topic of debate at the Busse Shop.

Stay tuned,

Jerry

I'm a user-collector. I don't mind spending $500 or more on a knife, if I know it's INFI tough and I can use it without worrying about breaking it.
Case in point, my Mr. Mojo CG. I babied it for a while but then gave in and used it. And when it comes back from sharpening I'll use it again! I'm what they call a recidivist, H.I. (Raising Arizona reference) :D
I agree with the original post. If we gotta wait, we gotta wait. Good things come to those who wait. :)
When the folder debuts, we may be a bit older but you know it'll knock our socks off!

Mike, You are right on. I feel they actually did this with the E- handles. The newer models seem to have had more thought in them.
As for the folder. I know for a fact you could not be more right on. Don't ask how I know. I just do. I know a lot of people in the knife community like only a california insider could. Busse has made more models with better overall appeal this time.

I personally can't find a fault with the SH-E. I think that they are near perfection, with a simple design. You watch, with all of the added features of the SH-F, in a couple of years everyone will be talking about the perfect simplicity of the SH-E. As far as the wait goes I could not care less. The last thing in the world that I would want is to have my Busse a month or two quicker at the cost of quality. In fact, that would probably be my last Busse.
