Here are two Western W49 bowies for sale. One is a K model(1988) made with high carbon steel. It is the bottom knife in the pic. It is a stock bowie. Stamp is deep and clear and it has the original sheath. Some use marks but nothing major. Razor sharp courtesy of me. No rust, pitting etc.etc. Shows some very minor scratching etc. Very fine example from what I've seen of these.

Next up is a highly modified "old" Western Bowie done according to the Bagwell mods he set forth in a mag. article in SF of mag. Small pins, walnut scales and professionally modified by someone who knew what they were doing. In other words it is by the look and feel of it professionally done. From what I can glean on the Western bowies this might be a mid to late 60's knife due to the walnut handle scales and small pins. Everything is nice and tight but it comes with a CASE bowie sheath cause that is the only one I have that will fit it. I put an extra snap on the tongue/strap of the sheath so it holds the bowie extremely tight which is good. Also note that this bowie is modified almost to a "T" as to what Bill Bagwell thought the mod's should be made to the knife to make it better. I've never seen another modified in such manner though have heard of them. It has a full flat grind and patina but no real pitting or rust.

I sent the knife out to a fell in Calif to have a convex edge put on it and the clip sharpened properly which this fella did at some expense. It is a fast mover with an elongated clip and narrower(top to bottom) blade than stock. Anyways if you can find the article Bagwell wrote in SF mag back in the 80's and take the measurements from what he wrote and apply it to this knife they are identical. So there you have it.

I would like to sell this is a set if that is cool. Asking $270 for both shipped, pp ad 3.5% to cover fees. I use USPS P/M with d/c etc.etc. Individually I would like 190 for the modified bowie and 100 for the stock. keepem sharp and thanks
