Here's the last two pieces with exotic wood handles and we're in luck because Sher made them. As you have often heard me say, Sher and Kumar make the best handles coming out of BirGorkha today. To their credit these kamis feel a khukuri is no better than the handle that's on it. This was the philosophy and tradition of their family shop and I think it has served them well. It certainly has BirGorkha.

Let's look at the Seax. 14 inches and 17 ounces of beautifully crafted knife. Fit and finish 10/10. Hardness right at Rc60. Beautifully grained raktha chandan wood handle. $85.00 delivered.

Next the Jange. 20 inches and two pounds of perfection. There's nothing to complain about. Fit, finish, hardness all 10/10 -- and take a look at cho location. It's all there. What kind of wood this is I don't know but the handle is perfectly done and the grain is beautiful. Take it home for $125.

Both are UBBBs.

Email to get one or both of these beauties.

If I didn't have the YCS on order, you guys would have felt the wind from that Jange whisking its way to CA. Great job on the cho, and that HANDLE!

Bill, I've told you this little story before, but these beauties bring it back again. I once whined to my gunsmith friend, "will all the good guns be gone before I have any money?'

That is exactly what I've begun to fear about these khuks. Will all the good khuks be gone before munk has cash once more?

Good khuks!! This whole year nothing but great deals!

Damn...just took delivery on a new Avalanche...

Good thing I placed an order with Tapco for (10) 20 round AK mags and (10) 20 round FAL mags before I logged in to the HI Forum. ( Just hedging my bets against Kerry winning, you understand. )

Should arrive from Kennesaw, GA by UPS in 7 to 10 days. Very pleasant and personable man on the phone. Too, $12.95 shipping isn't out of line, but it just doesn't compare in any way with the service you get from HI.

What did the AK mags cost?
They're cheap, you know.

Crazy sucker.

I bet you don't have a Jange yet, do you?
YOu can imagine how I felt about it- 20" or so and 2lbs, great sweeping leaf blade; what's not to like?

Come the End of All Things, You really gotta hole up here with me in Montana. We'll shoot the stars out one by one.

Sniff, the last of the fancy wood, for now at least :(
It's been a very good run. It's been great to see a daily specials post with 4-5 khuks, all with different handle materials.

Hungarian AK AMD 65 tank firing weapons mags, 20 rounds rather than 30. $5.99, no quantity discount.

FN-FAL metric mags, 20 round aluminum, $7.99, or $5.00 each in quantities of 10 or more.

Shipping for the lot came to roughly $13.00.

Munk, no Jange.

I do however have a 20" Super Salyan with 3/4" spine.

After what I didn't say to the wife's sister ( but did let slip to her sister-in-law ) I may need to stay at least a couple hundred miles from Hamilton. Got invited afterwards to both of her brothers' for Christmas this year though! ;)

Rusty, 5.99 is a good price. The advantage of a 20 would be lower profile prone. Not sure why that is needed- but to a survival nut case like you, (and yes, me) it makes sense.

I'm going to get Yvsa's Super Salyan when I can afford it. That is one reason I have not bit at these tremendous deals.

What did you say to the relatives to create these reactions?
