It was born Dec 5, 2012. This is a great knife, so glad I got it. The Micarta inlays are such a great idea, thanks Chris.

Im also thinking of picking up the Insingo. I feel the blade will be better suited for my line of work. Just can't decide on large or small.

Very nice!

I'm curious though, what type of work would an insingo blade be better suited for than a standard drop point blade?

It's good for fine/precision cutting because the tip has a slight belly to it. You don't have to angle the handle as high when using an insingo, which allows more control when using the tip.

I do high end finish work. The wharncliffe style looks like it would be much easier to make cuts with. Cutting shims or putting a backcut on a coped crown moulding, that tip looks to be an amazing cutter without having to get my hand up high to make it. Ive been using a PM2 for a year and a BM 761 the past 10 days. Cant wait to get the Insingo. I can really see this knife being an EDC for a long time. But Large or small, so on the fence. Maybe ill get both. :)

That's why I prefer CRK knives over others for daily use. It looks as good as when it was born.

Great knife and yours has my father's birthday. I will have to get an Insingo at some point. Love the micarta inlays myself.

Also about the Insingo blade shape, it doesn't have the slim sharp tip the standard does. :)I tend to accidently cut myself with the standard.

I just got the large Insingo last week and liked it so much I ordered the small 3 days later. For some reason the inlays don't appeal to me so I got the plain versions. Same for my Sebenza 25 and small 21... but at least they are a matched set. I will say the Blade HQ carbon fiber inlay version with satin finish catches my eye.

Nice. Think ill prob end up the same route. I am not a fan of inlay at all. But I do like the scales with the nice designs, very much liking the Tanked version.

The small micarta inlays are awesome. With a guarantee like the one that comes with CRKs, there is no reason to worry about the adhesive that holds the inlays in place.

I'm just waiting for the damascus insingos to come out before I pick one up... I'd have a hard time deciding between the micarta or the knifeart carbon fiber scales.

KnifeArt said they'd do a DT Insingo this upcoming year, and seemed pretty confident. Then again, it could've been tentative. Either way, I'm in for one if it happens, especially with CF or micarta.

My son just got his lefty insingo Sebenza with micarta last week. He ordered it at the Blade show last June.
