The TwoSun TS575 is a lot of fun. It's huge, not my biggest folder but definitely large. That limits its carry versatility but when that big blade thwacks out, it's super satisfying. The action is decent out of the box. I feel like it could be improved but I haven't taken the knife apart yet for cleaning or internal inspection. (I'll post some disassembly pics here whenever I get to it.) Lockup is solid so that's good.
Like a lot of other TwoSuns, the blade is thicker than it needs to be. Here though, the tall grind gives it space to thin down nicely. The spine is thoughtfully rounded with some nice aesthetic touches. The grind lines are pretty in ways that don't come through in my pictures.
Unlike a lot of other TwoSun models, they thankfully keep the blade and tip protected while closed. Instead of using a back spacer, they just close the scales along the back. Unfortunately, the scale fit isn't perfect and it's a little sharp in a couple of places. The top of the lock-bar shoulder is also sharp but it at least slightly melts into the shape of the handle.
The biggest issue holding this one back is the clip. It touches down with a little dome that is not only catchy on pockets but rests directly on the lock bar. The overall handle shape makes it impossible for me to stay completely off the clip and lock bar when trying to use my thumb to disengage the lock bar. I didn't initially notice this because I usually use my index finger to disengage lock bars (as seen in the pictures.) That method works well but still, I feel like clips resting on lock bars is a problem that we should long be past by now. Zooming in on the pictures, I also just noticed that the contact point is damaging the anodized surface. Not that anyone would notice that under the clip but yeah...
Anyway, the TS575 is a fun one that stands out in some key ways from the usual TwoSun lineup but that also makes its shortcomings stand out.
