This is another I ordered from Ty Montell that's in the mail. These pics are from Ty and his wife Joanne. Both great people to deal with. They put-up with 3 design changes from me without any problems.

Razor sharp 440C, polished TI bolsters and liners, premium stag handle, vine pattern filework. Should be a nice, feather-weight little edc, especially with the TI. I'll give specs and try to get better pics once it arrives.

That's a very fine looking piece from a nice guy and an underrated maker, IMO.

Congratulations!

Congrats! Very nice, sierra! Love the little pointy doo-dad on the bolster. I'm sure there's a better name for it, but whatever it is, its cool.

Agreed.

I foolishly sold my last Montell trapper with blue anodized bolsters/liners with pre-ban ivory. It was a great knife and I even tried to buy it back from the new owner months later.

Can't wait to get this one.

That's a real handsome knife, sierra. I love these less well known makers - great workmanship at reasonable prices. I need to get on his list.

Eric,
That sure is a beauty mate:thumbup:

Thanks Mitch. This is the Montell I was telling you about except it was a different design (swayback) then.

Welcome, Ty. Nice to have you here.

Now that's a great lookin' knife! I'm a sucker for stag, so I'm lovin' these scales & everything about the knife. Congrats!

Aahh!
I thought you were leaning more towards wharncliffe blades these days.

Ty great job mate.
Cheers

Got the knife today and it's great. I ordered another in MOP Co Amber Stag and in a different blade steel.

It measures 3.5" closed, half-stops, and weighs-in at just 1.65oz  according to my digital bakers scale I use for work and writing recipes.

Boy is this thing sharp! Sharpest non-kitchen custom i've ever purchased. Thickest part of the stag is just under 1/2". Tastefully done. Not too thick, not too thin.

Here's my amateurish attempt at being artistic :o
