Has anyone seen any of these knives or contacted the manufacturer? These are supposed to be titanium laminates made by Matt Kluczynski out of Tucson, Az. The web page has been up and unchanged for at least a year, but I haven't been able to raise them by phone, and I've never seen or heard anything anywhere else about these knives. Sounds like a good idea.

I remember them, and got lucky and even picked one up. Out of biz as of a few years ago.

They used a patented blade construction that consisted of a thin layer (.015") of 1095 steel, sandwiched between two pieces of Ti-6AL-4V Titanium (each of which was .063 thick). There is a write up in the Spec Sheet of Blade magazine March of 95. Pretty impressive stuff. 45 degree bends and such.

As I recall there were 10 models in all. All fixed blades, most with exotic wood handles (Tulipwood, Zebrawood, Bocote ect..). Blade lengths ranged from 4.5" to 6" w/leather sheaths. Styles included hunters to fighters. The most impressive to me was the Kempo Fighter, designed by Tai Goo. 5.5", Zytel handle, and multiple carry Kydex sheath. Retail prices ranged from $208-$300.

Hopefully Matt and Tygress will appear again, maybe it was a steel a little before it's time. Hope that helps.
