type of blade steel on this 110

hope you guys can help me with this i have a chance to pick up two buck 110s lnib

both are marked

110\

on the tangs from what i have been able to find out this means that they were made in 93 to 94 but what i would like to find out is do these 110s have 420hc or 425m and if there is any differance in edge holding or ease of sharpining ect

I think that is about the time of the swich to 420hc, it could go either way.
 
thats kind of what i thought i wish there was a way to know for sure what steel was in these 110s
