Types of blade locks

What are the types of blade locks? Ive heard of axis, liner, etc, but I dont know what makes an axis lock an axis lock. Can someone explain the differant types of blade locks and what defines them as that.

What type of locks do autos have?

Can someone explain the Benchmade "LEVITATOR" lock? I dont understand how you can close it. It looks like a pin would be in the way.

Squeezing the sides raises the pin. :)
