Well I would Like to thank you all for your time to reply, the advice was helpful.
It would seem that since this will be my first sword My choices for steel Seem to be between 5160 and 6150. After I have completed the shaping of the sword I have intended to take the blade to a professional Heat Treating Business that specializes in treating metals of all types. So with that being said what would your choice now be between the two? With proper heat treating which would make the tougher blade if both had the same Dimensions? I will post the finished sword here so you all can see the fruits of a young ones labour, HA HA!

I do not know enough about 6150 other than that I have heard that it is a bitch on belts. It is supposed to be very difficult to grind. My choice would probably be 5160. It is a great all round steel and it is relatively easy to work.
