Hey guys,

i was thinking of ordering one of Typhoon Blades 21 inch Dahong Palay and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the company.

shipping prices, quality, balance... any info would be much appreciated:D

I'm looking at getting one of those too. Strictly going by web buzz they're good quality. I keep going back and forth between the 17" and the 21"- how did you pick the 21"?

Hope you get some more meaningful replies- are you checking the fma forum?

I have the 17" Ginunting. The forging and the wood are very well done. I don't think you would be disappointed.

The Ginunting does double-duty for the Philippine Recone Marines as both a weapon and a tool. I find the 17" works better as a machete type tool and is a bit easier to control than a 21" which I have (by another maker).

HTH,
Rich

I sent them a couple emails about a week ago and i have not received a reply....

I am a little wary about their customer service:thumbdn:

I received my Ginunting in 11/08. At that time he returned e-mails promptly and answered all questions thoroughly. At this point, I wouldn't hesitate to order from him again. I haven't corresponded with him lately though.

Here's the e-mail address I was using: Buddy (typhoon.blades@gmail.com]

YMMV,
Rich

Another bit of info:

The person I worked with is named Buddy Acenas who I believe is the owner of Typhoon. He is Malapitan on the FMATalk forums.

thanks:)

i have all that contact info already. I am sure they make a quality product but i have decided to order from elsewhere.

if they wont even get back to me so i can give them my money i am guessing they are too busy to provide timely service after they have my money.
