I have not made a habit of posting a lot of the Kabar work I do because most of it is just simple stuff like this here where a good ole boy has a user he wants to get back to working condition to hand down to his boy. But this is pretty typical of what things look like when I see them.

This is a nice size model. Its slightly smaller and slimmer than the ones made today, the steel is probably better, and the handles are not plastic but the real deal. Stag! Some of these old classics are still quite nice. Boy this takes me back!

Its nice to see that the owner took the time to send it to you to have it fixed.
A lot of people would have just put it in the drawer or thrown it away. I'm sure that knife would have a lot of great stories to tell...

He said he found it in one of his old 'Seabags' (must be a Navy guy I figure) and that when he opened it to check it out this happend. The pivot was corroded through. My fear is that some other pins may be also but I'll get another pivot in it and see where I am with it. This one is going to be a while since I have a lot of work ahead of it to knock out first.
