Tyrade caught my eye

At first I didn't like it, but I looked at it on YouTube and it looks nice.
Looked at the 0300 too and I like that as well.
So, I may not get the PE 0200 after all. Still pondering I have a few bills to spare and a hankering to get a nice knife besides a Spyderco for a change.
My question is, I've been doing a bit of reading up on these knives and ran across a post saying the Tyrade is a limited production piece.
I sure didn't know that and if that's true it would influence my decision, as I'm a sucker for limited production pieces. :o
Is the Tyrade limited?

Yes it is (I already have mine, and it's a beaut).

IIRC it was originally 1000 units but got bumped to 2000, but someone should correct these numbers ;)

BoxANT is correct. So with the release of the Tyrade described in this thread, there will be 2 Limited Edition Tyrades available.

Jill - owe it to yourself to get both the 0300 and the Tyrade - here's mine - with their buddies the Offset and the ZT Mudd :-)

Jill, It's a nice knife, and stout as heck. I've been saving for one too, but got pretty sidetracked.

Another one to look at is the now also out of production JYD2, Ti framelock with SG2 blade. Both are must haves, IMO. I'm not sure if you ever nabbed one of those, but it's worth having if you didn't.

Regards, Joe

Those are all very nice. I don't think I will get but one at this time.
Leaning towards the Tyrade, but the 0300 is interfering.
I need to do way too much with only so much money, very stressful you know how that goes.
Thanks all for the information on the Tyrade.

Joe, I had the regular JYD and it was a very well made knife, particularly for it's cost. (it got traded)
I never did more than drool a bit over that high end one! I'm sure it's even better in person than it looks in pictures.
Is it possible to have too much information about knives?
Ever since I joined Bladeforums my mind has been overloaded with information about dozens of different desirable blades!
Very confusing when you want to buy just one! (but, oh boy such fun)

Tyrade all the way. You can still find them at several places online, but since there is a definate number of them I would jump on one right now. It is really a very nice piece that makes an excellent edc, and is very solid in your hand, at 6.7 ounces it ought to be! Only thing I didn't like was the clip, but STR makes an excellent foldover deep-carry clip that puts the entire knife in your pocket.:D:thumbup:

I just jumped and got it for a hair under 179 shipped.
Best price I found anyplace.

I just got a Tyrade. Really nice. Massive and built in the USA. Fits my hand just right. I also got the Shallot in CPM-S110V. Can't find much on this steel but it's a sleek little knife. Kershaw seems to be doing limited runs on these composites so make sure they are in stock if you order. Some may be sold out. I originally tried to get the Junkyard Dog II in SG2 but wasn't in stock where I ordered. So got the Tyrade instead. The Tyrade is unique and has the black carbon fiber on the handle which is on top of the titanium. This makes for a better grip when you are flipping the blade out, at least for me. May still try to get the Junkyard in SG2 although the Zero Tolerance series looks very nice. Kershaw is making some fine blades nowadays.
