I love Kershaw's composite blades, and the Tyrade is the granddaddy of them all

However, I am of limited means and was wondering if by the time i can scrap together the money needed to purchase one of these babies (might be a while), would they be out of production (and therefore probably go up in price)?

Is there a set date for them to be discontinued?

Hey BA, I'm not sure of the total run, but last September Thomas said 100 to 200 pieces would ship in October, "and the balance by the end of the year". Sorry I can't give you more specific info...

If I'm not mistaken, the Tyrade has been turned into a regular production knife??

Could be Mike...I'm just going off what T-Man posted that I could dig up. But I do think I remember him saying that it would be a regular production knife...just can't find the post!

please keep us posted if you guys find out anything more specific, I'll do the same. I'm hoping it's a regular production now, otherwise I'm going to have to quit putting of getting one!!!

Maybe if Thomas gets the time he'll jump in here and clear this up for us!

i remember that too mike. i think that you are right. blast where is that post!

OL, when you get fired up enough to use the word "blast" in such a vulgar way, I think it's time you signed off and got some sleep!!:D You may be getting a bit punchy....or, that could be me.

Night,
Jon

THAT would be great if it is regular production. The last I had read indicated it was going to be a limited item, but that was over a couple months ago.:thumbup::D

The Tyrade is not regular production. It will be capped off at 2000 total pieces. To date 1186 Tyrades have been produced. We'll have all the Tyrades finished up prior to the end of the year.

There has been no talk of any future 1850 variations.
