Just picked this up. It is a U.S. Classic. Great F&F, nice edge, good snap, and I like the style of the shield. It also has similar nail notch as Rough Rider knives do. Only dislike is it is made in China. Has anyone heard of this company? If not, you should look into them. Very nice for the price (around ten to twenty dollars), and higher quality, (in my opinion) than Rough Rider.

Looks quite nice. My guess is it is made in the same factory as Rough Rider, Colt, Steel Warrior, etc. All are good values.

US Classics was an order from an individual from Kentucky I believe. The originals were Not made by the RR factory and weren't close to the quality of RR. That Barlow does look like the RR factory made it but to my eyes is no better that the RR brand as far as FF is concerned.

Poking around on line I found US Classics recently. By the look I figured they came from the same maker as RR and SW. They don't look too bad but once again the name just doesn't do it. First, having "US" and "Salt River KY" can be misleading. Especially if they aren't stamped China. I guess it is better than "Steel Warrior".

Second, the price is about double what a RR costs but I don't see much more quality for the price. The "Limited to 1200 pcs" on their website doesn't convince me that they're worth it.

It has taken me years to warm up to imported traditionals. I'm going to be hesitant to spend that much on one until I see something that doesn't look like a rebadged RR.

It is marked China, on the Second blade. Personally, it seemed better in quality when I compared it to my many other RR's. Now, that is just my opinion, but hey.

These arent made any longer. The story i got was it was a antique knife collector in Ky. that had his old patterns copied and produced in China.I have found the quality on these to be iffy compared to Rough Rider, but when they first came out it was nice to see these great old patterns selling at shows for $5.00.I think this was where the Rough Rider idea came from.JMO

Thanks for clarifying. I couldn't find any pics on line that showed the China mark. As for quality, I can't say having never held one. If you like it that's all that matters.
