Here is a 20 inch, 20 oz. Kumar Kobra made by one of our new kamis, either Baburam or Sunder. I just found out their names but don't know which made this khukuri because they have no marks yet and this one carries the Hi logo marking but no kami mark.

Whichever man it was he has done a 9.9 out of 10 job on this. Fit is very good, finish is magic stone mirror, and he has the edge hardened up to about 59 Rc and it will take hair off my arm. The only thing I can find wrong with this knife is the kami should have cleaned the blade up just a little better before he put the magic stone finish on it. But, you are looking at the "bad" side and it doesn't look so bad. A perfect knife that is not quite perfect cosmetically.

Karda and chakma are heavy and pretty well done.

The scabbard is done by the sarki with no name and is okay but he has done better work.

Frog is 100 year Hi superfrog.

We will deliver this Kobra to you door for $75 and that is as much Kobra as you will find anywhere for that price.

Call or email if interested.

That is a beauty!
Like Yvsa, I owe enough already.
Shame I missed the AK, though.

Out of many kamis who came looking for work and were turned away and out of the many who tried their hand for a couple of days and couldn't cut it, the two kamis we hired and are keeping are up to snuff. I am impressed with the quality of their work. They just need to fine tune to HI standards and they will be a most welcome addition!

Drat! Knew I ahould have emailed FIRST them posted. But since I was on the forum I figured what's 20 seconds? Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Learn from this ( choke, sob, bhwaahaa ). Mohd can probably hear the gnashing of my teeth all the way over in Kuala Lumpur

Just went back to work this week (part-time-afternoons) after the motorcycle accident, and I seem to be missing all the good ones. Personal use of the Internet is forbidden at work, so I can't check in on the forum. There must be a reason...maybe the Powers have decided I own enough khukuris
(even though I don't think so).

Just wanted to whine and bitch...please indulge me this once.

Oh, I saw this one in time, all right. I watched it for awhile. Every few minutes I would reload the page hoping someone else would buy it. We really don't have the money right now but I've hung around here enough to know the "really good" deals when I see one. $75! And I don't have a Kobra at all. I finally just had to go outside and work in order to keep myself from making a mistake that would have been serious with the wife. Thanks, whoever you are, for finally jumping in there and buying it.

Have any of the Kobras ever been made with wood handles? I just ask because that's one of the reasons I was able to hold out. All things being equal, I really prefer wood over horn. That's helped me avoid several of the last "deals of the day."

Not now, Mohd: I'm busy trying to find a good gamebird recipe to use to fix tonight's dinner.

Just teasing.
