I have the khukuri and I have the pix but won't post the pix and story until tomorrow so stay tuned.
All I will say this evening as I am getting ready to sign off and drink some Heineken is this one earned Kumar a very well deserved excellence bonus.
And here it is!
This is an 18inch, 18 oz., Kumar Kobra made and marked by Kumar and it is one of his best efforts to date. Fit perfect, finish magic stone mirror, hardness about 60 Rc and edge will take a couple of hairs off my arm. Jet black horn handle has white-gray streaks. I noticed Bura has taught Kumar how to make a sword of Shiva as it should be made -- looks like it has been done with a machine. Perfect, like everything else on this rig.
As you can see, buttcap, and HI habaki style bolster are silver and beautifully done.
The karda and chakma are excellently done and have silver bolsters, too.
The silver tipped scabbard is beautifully made and tooled by the sarki with no name. He has put on a daphne (pheasant) and Swaymbunath temple. The frog is 100 year HI superfrog.
We will deliver this masterpiece to your door for $150.
Call or email if interested.
