I am not quite sure what to call this knife. It has the blade and length of a WWII but the handle is a chiruwa Chainpuri style. So, I'll just call it Sanu's jewel. He made this knife because he wanted to, not because it was ordered and this shows. It's a fine effort. 16.5 inches and 28 ounces.

The blade is engraved on both sides with a dragon and scrollwork and very nicely done. And the handle is made of some of the most beautiful horn I've seen.

The scabbard is tooled with the words "BirGorkha" and "Nepal."

It's a winner and something a little different for the HI collector who has everything.

Harry, where are you?

We'll deliver this great Sanu effort to your door for $145 and I think that's a bargain for this rig.

Call or email if interested.

must resist, must resist...

The fact that I want a khukuri engraved with a dragon motif is not making this any easier.

AARRGGHHH!!!! Half an hour too late; it woulda made a nice early birthday present to myself, too. Looks like you got a very nice rig, Dave.

Shoot.... what a day to not be in the shop:mad:

Good grab Dave :D Let me know how you like it. I think I'm so upset, that I'm going to have to go down to Dairy Queen... (mumble...grumble...masdlkn#$()#$(@+!_@(% )

:D:D:D

I was out here for 5 minutes today on a break, I have been doing grunt work moving stuff in the office, and I saw this!
I also got payed today so I figured "What the heck!". Besides, it is a personal blade that wasn't ordered, but made the way Sanu wanted it to be made. How often do you run across that?

Engraveing, beautiful horn, and a 16" WWII style blade. I have a all black horn handle, and I have been meaning to get a WWII style to see what all the hype was about. Engraveing was also on my long list of things...so I have killed multiple birds with one e-mail...so to speak.

I am sure I can show you guys sometime! :D :D :D :D :D

It will show up at future conventions, I'm sure. I think you are going to like that handle. In fact, you'll like the whole rig.

And it would be fine for any dress occasion.:D

Keep that so very beautiful handle well dressed with some kind of dressing for a good while until it soaks up as much as possible.

Sanu must have been bored the day he made this one, or perhaps in a "show off" sorta mood.;)
Sanu is IMO the next in line to take Buras place should Bura ever decide to retire from being the Royal Kami.:D

A good slathering of Corona will go on it and sit for a week or 2, with a daily rub in after I give it the appropriate loven' ;)

I think I will do just that YVSA..a RED Sheath! Hmmm...I will have it built fron the ground up of course... in a few months of course:D :D :D

Dave you could get by with just a scabbard cover.:)
It would save you some money and would work just as well as long as you cleaned the mud and blood off of the original scabbard.

And note that there is loads of difference between just a
"Red Scabbard" and a "Red _Velvet_ Scabbard.":D
Velvet and especially Red, Maroon and Purple Velvet has alwyas been sexy, always will be.;)

That's one of the things that make those Navajo girls so appealing. Those "velvet dresses." :D:D:D:D

YVSA,

ARE YOU CALLING MY KNIFE GIRLY
She is mine...so hands off!!! ;):p
Jewel is her name, and you better respect her or I'll...I'll have to...

Red... Velvet? :o ;) :) OOOOOOh...

Very nice. Good grab Dave, you lucky bastard. Off to join Alan at Dairy Queen...

I was thinking my next khuk would be a WWII, and with the engraving and Chainpuri handle it would have been irresistable. Good grab! Enjoy it for the rest of us!
