Remember this one? I got another in yesterday and the only difference is the blade is made by Durba. And, for some reason they omitted the engraving on the blade.

Take this one for $195 due to lack of engraving. Call or email if interested.

I can either buy this knife or take my girlfriend out to dinner a few times. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Having no money and being a college student has its disadvantages.
Matthew
I think I will take the girlfriend this time, but good lookin rig!

By the way which one's Pink?

Arrrghh! I waited as long as I could for one of you guys to snap this one up and save me from myself. Once again I've succumbed to Uncle Bill, the "Typhoid Mary" of HIKV. I hope my 5-month old daughter likes khukuris, 'cuz it looks like she's gonna inherit a bunch of them...

Good one Bruce, at least Uncle Bill's form isn't fatal unless you count starvation or death from the hand of the dear wife or girlfreind.

And again,

Bruce you may be thinking way to soon. Who knows, you might have a grandson one of these far distant years that will think he's really got a cool Grandpa because of all his really cool knive's.
The greatest pleasure will be introduceing the khukuris to your grandchildren and the story behind them.
And if you really want to see their little eyes "Bug" out cut a huge watermelon in half with a H.I. Katana or a big Khukuri!!!!
That works Every Time!!!!

Yvsa-

Regarding grandkids: That's still WAY beyond my long-range planning horizon. It makes me queasy just thinking of the time my little girl starts to date! I think a khukuri demo will definitely be in order for each prospective suitor. I've still got time to perfect my Overly Protective, Slightly Psychotic, Heavily Armed Papa act.

Bruce, you have just created an entirely new category in the "Why We Should All Buy Khukuris" contest. Future (possible) gelding of boyfriends!

Bruce and those of you who may have young and very young daughters I can sympathise.

My Baby Girl is now 35 years and has 3 kids.
My next oldest daughter is 42 and has 3 kids although we lost a son and grandson due to a motorcycle wreck.
My son is now 44 with 2 kids and my grand daughter is pregnant and hopefully will carry the baby to term.
Barb's girls have 9 kids and we have 3 adopted grandkids in the ndn way making a grand total of 20 grand kids.

And if Rachel carries her baby successfully we will be great grand parents by this time next year.

And all the kids have to do is bring the girl grand kids over with their prospective boy friends and I will take care of the rest...............
One time when our next to youngest girl was still at home there were 3 boys that came knocking at our door.
I grabbed my axe handle and opened the door.
They all took a step back and one exclaimed Holy S**t................. "HE Does Have An Axe Handle!!!!"
(I probably still have a reputation in the neighborhood, the one where all the kids say, "Don't mess around that old guy's place, he doesn't care What the Laws Are and will nail your arse and then hang it out to dry!!")

Kinda makes you wonder what would have happened if I had been
collecting khukuris then?

Hmmmmm.....I think I see Yvsa's justification for his impressive array of khuks. Just think, at his next family get-together each family member can hold a khukuri for the group photo! Now _that_ would be a picture to send to the kamis!

Yvsa,
A very good friend & MA has a VERY beautiful daughter, carries 3 blades, & teaches(one of the nicest guys ever)! WELL,greets a guy who was interested in his little baby(16 yrs. old),with this statement
(he was sweaty after working out)this is my daughter, she better be returned on time & in same condition,"If not I have a shovel & they will NEVER find your body"!He has NEVER had any problems concerning his daughters boyfriends,as a matter of fact they are "all" very respectful!I wonder why!hee!

I know a guy who'd been an FBI agent for 13 years. When young fellows would come over to pick up his highschool daughters (and he had five of them!) on dates, he'd politely steer the kid over to the living room, sit him down, and ask to see his driver's license. He'd make a show of copying down the info and getting the lad's parents names and phone #. Then he'd make serious eye contact and tell him that he expected his daughter home by such and such a time. No overt threats. It was a system I can attest worked well, at least for him and in a bygone 20- to 30-year-ago era.
Now I've got a 13-year-old girl, and I'm thinking I'll be trying this method myself pretty soon.

I always tried not to scare her boyfriends. I'm afraid I didn't succeed very well, though ... the trouble is people can tell when you're trying not to scare them, and that's scary.

I have a friend who owns a small-town hardward store. He told me when his daughter got married, he took the groom aside and said that he knows that there were going to be problems and disagreements in a new marriage, and that was to be expected, but he better not ever hit her. Did he know the range of a .50 caliber rifle? It is up to a mile, and he would never know what hit him.
