I haved used my Ubejane for the last two Whitetail deer seasons. Last year I used it to field dress and skin two deer and this year I have used it to field dress and skin one deer (so far!). There has been no need to touch up the edge yet.
I love the Ubejane and highly recommend it. It is the perfect size and the blade shape is just right for my hunting tasks. The sheath is high quality, holds the knife secure and rides very well. I have thought about purchasing one of Piter M's sheaths for my Ubejane. They look excellent!
The handle can get a little cold in the Minnesota weather, but not enough to be a hinderance for use. Speaking of the handle, it is of good size and the knurled texture provides excellent grip. I have never had my hands slip while working inside the chest cavity.
The Ubejane is my number one hunting knife until Chris creates something new that might be suitable for the same purposes. Hope this helps!
