This is something I thought of making a while back. Its basically a handled PSK size knife. I guess I'll call mine the uBOB. Urban Bug Out Bag knife.

These will be made with thicker stock from time to time and made with thinner stock if so desired:thumbup:

Stock on this is 3/16" 0-1 with natural canvas micarta. Overall is 6.125" and 2.375" blade.

Very nice Brian !
Very useful looking without being over the top on size. The jimping is a very needed feature IMO.

Wonderful looking knife.

Fewer a fewer reasons not to get one of your blades mate. That's a little beauty for sure.

Oops....meant O-1 :)

A thinner blade is more practical I agree.

That's really nice, I like that a lot! Actually for a ubob, I'd want a stouter blade like that, I like the 3/16...the term "bugging-out" implies that you'll have to do "whatever" with whatever you have on hand. I think the grind on that one should cut great even in the 3/16.

Thats the idea. I actually have a 3/32" blade about this size in my daily U.B.O.B. bag I use for work. I have wished it wasnt 3/32" if it was my only knife in a makeshift senerio.

1/8" would split that difference I guess but I like the prying effect of 3/16" leaving the edge untouched primarily since its a thicker stock and the sides get used.

Great looking knife! I think 3/16 would be a great thickness in a survival situation.

I agree with that. I like thick blades overall, but 3/16 being inbetween thick and thin, it would be perfect.

great looking knife, and for a purpose that I can associate with.

I carry a little RAT RC-3 on the molle straps behind my CamelBak HAWG. Its there within reach for those little tasks that just pop up when on the trail. This knife looks like it could do the same job, and do it well.

very nice ,my inlaws live in burke county off old 18 . I get out there about twice a year would it be possible to pick up a knife in person?
