Step 1:

Be really appreciative of Jo.

Step 2:

Receive new scales from CPK and set out your tools. Wera 3/32 allen wrench, Snap-On mini driver with Wiha 3/32 hex bit, Loctite Blue (not necessary).

Step 3:

Remove screws from new scales. Keep the left side (maker's mark side) screw from moving in the barrel with 3/32 allen wrench while you carefully remove the right side screw with the 3/32 driver. Do NOT remove the left screw from the barrel. Keep all the parts in order.

Note the red loctite inside the left barrel:

Step 4:

Same procedure as Step 3 on the knife scales. Keep the left screw stable in the barrel while you carefully break the seal on the right screw and back it out. Do NOT remove left screw from the barrel.

Step 5:

One of my barrels fell out on its own. I gently pried off the right scale. If the barrels do not fall out on their own, after removing the right scale put the right screw back in the barrel and push it out gently with the driver. Mine were loose enough to push out with my thumb. Keep everything organized.

Step 6:

At this point you could oil the tang. I almost put some Boos block cream (beeswax and mineral oil) on it, but decided not to do that.

Blue loctite on the new right screws (or not) and then put the left scale on the tang and push the barrels through in order. Put the right scale on and screw each right screw in carefully while keeping the left screw secure. Use the driver to torque right screws on tightly in order while keeping the left screw held tightly with the allen wrench.

Step 7:

Enjoy and thank Jo!

I was fixing to drill a hole and set an eyelet in my UF2 Kydex sheath tonight so that I can wear it with the knife canted forward and noticed that the holes are already aligned so that the TekLok clip can be affixed to the sheath in a forward canted position. Thanks guys, that's nice to see!
