Who's watchin and who do you think is going to win.

I say Franklin and Shogun

Not gonna watch, gotta save my money for Fedor next week. I say Henderson owns Franklin and Shogun all over Coleman.

Shogun (27) looked like crap. He gassed early, and about as quickly as Colemen (44). Knowing Coleman's history and ability, the fight was stopped too early. He has an insane chin still, but that upper cut did rock him good.

Henderson/Franklin - no one owned the other in this one. Decent fight, but I expected more fireworks. 30-27 from one judge??!?! What fight was he looking at? That fight could have gone either way, with scores of 29-28 for all three rounds...

+1 on all of that!

Also,I found out that although I paid for UFC 93 LIVE,
this was shown on some other network earlier in the afternoon!
A few friends told me they already saw it and knew who won...
(Because it was held in Ireland)
I want a refund.

I read a round by round synopsis and the Pride boys won but in unconvincing performances. Too bad they don't let Shogun use steroids the way they did in Pride (Japan). JK ;):D Can't wait to see Fedor next week! He toyed with Coleman about a year and a half ago and beat him easily. Fedor said after the fight he wanted to give his fans a show and not knock him out. He decided he'd go for a submission before the fight even started. Awesome.

It aired live at 3 PM and reaired at 10 PM. I purchased it at 3 and recorded it so I could watch it when I was ready.

Shoguns performance was indeed crap, overall I found UFC 93 fight card lacking I can';t wait for Fedor next week and St Pierre in two weeks.

I want them both to win.

Oh yea!!!, the St Pierre and Penn fight should be one for the ages.
I sure hope Pierre shuts Penn up, I like Penn and think he is a great fighter but he is to cocky and talks to much smack.

As much as I like GSP, I can't wait to see BJ bang him out and triumphantly lick the blood off his gloves. I also can't wait to see Henderson maul Bisping at 185 after the next season of TUF.

He might just do it, but I wont be putting any money against Pierre.

And I agree with you in that I cant wait to see Hendo bust up The Count!!

I am also looking forward to GSP vs BJ Penn. I hope that card is better than the last one.
I can't believe that the Shogun/Coleman fight received co-fight of the night honors (the other being Davis-Lytle). What fight were they watching? That was one of the worst fights on the card.

Penn will kill- (his words) GSP. The last time they fought, BJ won the fight, but the "paid for" judges gave it to GSP, as he was the UFCs poster boy at the time. Penn didn't have a scratch on him, but GSP had a broken nose and was bleeding out of every hole in his face. He looked like a truck hit him.

Penn will win. GSP knows it.

I felt sorry for Coleman - he almost seemed punch drunk the way he was moving and he looks a little slow (mentally)! I give him credit for taking a much younger and highly overated (by that performance) competitor the distance (20 seconds shy anyway). I reckon the ref shouldn't have called it, it was a good night shot for many but Coleman ate it man !!

Coleman is far from his prime and it shows. Remember when he was younger... he used to be a monster! He dominated most everyone and was the first to really break the mold with the ground and pound game. He used to run into the ring and stomp around like a gorilla, jacked up to the gills on gear. Now he is laid back, slow, and not nearly as strong as he used to be. No one used to man handle him in a chest match. He comes out and blows his wad, all in the first round, leaving nothing for the finish. He is only still doing it for the money. What else would he do to feed his family? I like Coleman and the guy has heart but the bottom line is that he is not what he once was 10 or so years ago and the competition has evolved to deal with guys like him. No longer is it good enough to JUST be a great wrestler and over power your victims. That simply isnt enough anymore. He has'nt really improved all the other aspects of his game to evolve along with the sport ie sumbmissions, striking ability, etc and often has gotten by on raw talent alone. It is too bad he cant find something else to do that he is good at, that he can support his family with. It gets sad seeing him out there looking all dopey and punch drunk cause he is so gassed out.

He is far from his prime and he's no Captain America but I respect him for getting in the ring to face his demons RUA (even if it is only for the money ~ probably)

He was a beast in his day and did invent ground and pound but he has always been a very one dimensional fighter and as you say the game has evolved. It was interesting to see that he still had above average strength, even at 205, I only noticed it when his body was reacting out of instinct and it's pity he was too gassed to use it more. His frame looked middle aged though, almost like someone pulled out the valve and deflated him, I wonder if that is why he gassed. Talking about gear, did you notice how he pushed Stitch just after he took off his shoes and lost his balance, Stitch tried to steady him but him was so pumped he pushed Stitch and after he realised what he had done he gave Sticth a cuddle to say sorry - it was funny. I wonder if that is a lasting efect from the roids or if it just him being pumped for the fight.

At the end of the day he's feeding his family and who can disrespect him for that !!!

He doesn't really need to improve as his name sells fights (to a certain extent) and he only really has maybe 5 left I reckon - straight after the fight he said let's do it again, it's 1-1! Reckon he really needs the cash man. Poor dude !!
