I thought I saw that as well but I marked it up to being obessed with knives at the moment and having my mind paly tricks on me. 
Poor Randy! He got poked in the eye and he either didn't see the left from Chuck or it just took jim out of his game somehow. That was not the Randy I am used to seeing. He will be back again if he is not too old. 42 is probably too old be be fighting in the UFC even for a freak like Couture.
