Something played in the sky for an HOUR over Tacna, Peru yesterday. the entire city saw this one. Heck, after an hour, they may even have gotten bored with it.
What I wouldn't give to see one with my own eyes...

I have a friend in Peru. I don't know what city she lives in, but if it's the "real deal", I'm sure she would have heard about it. Peru isn't that big. I'll see if she knows anything.

Dead end on the UFO on her end...sorta. She says they talk about UFO's so much in the news down there that she just sort of tunes it out. She's not really a big believer in all that stuff, but they get A LOT of coverage in the area.

This is some of the better video I've seen of this phenomenon, with most being so blurry and inconclusive that they really don't count for much.

At first I thought this was a military UAV, then it seemed to look more like a satellite. Can't really tell what it is or isn't-interesting though.

I almost went with, "satellite," at first, but then its shape seemed to be wrong: too boxy. It looked eerily like an alpine cable car plying its route,.....except that there were no cables!

Very, very odd, indeed.

Looked like a bus!

P'raps the economic difficulties are farther-reaching than we thought... ;)

I have no doubt that UFO's exist. I've personally seen things in the sky that I couldn't identify. That being said, where do they come from and why are they here?

1. Extraterrestrials.

They came all the way across the solar system at least, if not the galaxy. Do they want to make contact or do they want to remain hidden? If they want to make contact, landing in the middle of a Super Bowl should remove all doubt. If they want to remain hidden, flying around over Peru (or Mexico City) is not the best way to go about it. There are plenty of other places to fly over where no one will notice.

2. Secret Military Aircraft.

To quote the above: "If they want to remain hidden, flying around over Peru (or Mexico City) is not the best way to go about it. There are plenty of other places to fly over inside restricted American airspace where no one will notice."

3. Natural Phenomenon not yet Understood.

And that's my problem with UFO's. There is no rationale behind them. It doesn't make any sense. Governments do things for reasons. Aliens with enough time on their hands to come all this way must have done so for a reason. Natural occurances, no matter how weird, do not need reasons. They just happen.

If these are aliens, they need to find a new hobby. They're absolutely terrible at this.

That was a short bus ufo. It transports the special ed. aliens. They were lost. They took a wrong turn at the alpha quadrant in sector 5.2 It was all over CNN. ;)

I think there is a rationale, as was suggested by the late Paul Hill. I think a good percentage of them are scientists. Soil, water samples, biological specimens, etc.. These are the things scientists collect.
The others maybe just be passing through and wanted to have a look.
And there is also the pit-stop theory.
It may be that sometimes they need to drop down into breathable atmosphere in order to make repairs.
(See Ray Hawk's report - He witnessed a saucer that dropped down, smoking. A "tile" from the side was pulled inward, replaced, and the saucer shot back up.)

I enjoy astronomy as a hobby, and there are so many UFOs floating around that it is often a distraction. What do I usually see:
1) Man made Satellites
2) space debris (Especially what is left of the Irridum orbitals)
3) Unmanned police/military drones - these small survelance aircraft are everywhere.
4) Weather/party balloons

There have been some really interesting documentaries on TV about UFO's lately although some of the theories seem to me too be way outta line.
Like the one where some of the Nazi scientists from WW II immigrated to SA and kept up their research. Trouble with that is if it were true all of the governments of any size would be all over it like a chicken on a June bug! :D
