UGH! I Cannot Decide...

I'm looking at Dave's warehouse sale list and my head is reeling! I'm having a hard time deciding between the Knockout and a 0550. I know that they are different, but I will get the same use out of them. I just picked up a 560 last week and now this! Being so close to Xmas I shouldn't really be spending any money, but it's oh so tempting!

So what's it going to be? Get the 550 and the savings that come with it(over a new one), or go with the Knockout? I definatly like the belly on that one. I'm sure I'll eventually end up with both, I just need to feed this addiction.

And I thought the black rifle disease was bad:o
 
I like my Knockout better than my 551, and its what? A third of the cost? The Knockout is thin and disappears in the pocket, and rides deep. My Knockout gets a lot more pocket time, but thats just me. Nothing wrong with the 55x, but like the Knockout.

The Knockout is great and near the top of my x-mas list BUT, Dave's prices are so good you likely won't get another chance to pick one up that cheaply (unless you roll the dice on flebay). I'd get the 550 now and the knockout down the road but either is a good choice.
 
Very good point about pricing. Maybe its better to get the spendy knife at a discount than the $70 knife. I just got a 0561 from him today, after selling my 0560 a few months ago.
 
Great, just what I need. Another one of the knives I've been wanting with Dave's prices. I stopped looking at the list when I was a third through it and already found a half dozen I want;)

I wish I could do that, as good as the prices are. I really will be stretching it thin as is. I'm going to go with the 550, it's just too good a deal to pass up. Does anyone know what gen Dave is selling? I'm not really interested in the 1st gen.

I've wondered the same. Though he is selling the limited black blade edition blem so that has to be a second gen.
 
Since you already have a 0560, get the Knockout.

It's a better slicer than both the 0550 and 0560. It's a much thinner knife all around.

My 0551 never gets carried. I'll grab the 0561 or Knockout first.

How I didn't realize how similar the knockout is to the 550. Now I need to order one!

Although they are similiar in overall shape, the Knockout has a bit more belly and is much thinner behind the edge.
 
Ok, looks like I've been convinced to go with the Knockout for now. I know I'll eventually end up with a 550 anyway, but at least my wallet won't take as much of a hit today. Plus that leaves a bit extra for a Blur, I want it's standoffs for my 0350. It also looks like the scale on the Knockout could be modded to a nice two tone, just a thought.
