I created the ugliest BK7 by "modding". Painted grips for visibility, cord wrap for extra cordage and a little grippiness, stripped blade and squared off spine for firesteels.

Ugly, but I bet it still works excellent....

Im sure it will, especially now that I put a small choil on it. I might sharpen the false edge sometime in the future but as of now, mods are finished on this thing.

I think it looks beautiful.

Im about to head out to the woods for a 3 way matchup. Modded BK7 vs Stock BK3 vs CRK Green Beret.

Any tests in particular yall would like to see?

Yeah, baton that 7 right through the CRK lol. Looks great, I'm a huge fan of orange, and cord wraps lol I love it. Patina looks great too. Let us know how the paint holds up, I would look into painting stock grivory, but would probably get it duracoated. I think orange Grivory should be an option though lol.

looks like a hunter thats kicked ass for years. like a mountain man. i like it. I would also like to know how the paint holds up

The paint isnt gonna hold up well. Its already knocking spots off just from bumping around a little while replacing the lanyard. I put 3 coats on, should be holding up better. Id suggest krylon over this rustoleum.

I don't like orange much, but it is helpful for finding things. I like it.

I'd sleep with it.

I mean, you know, keep it by the bed.

For, like, emergencies & stuff.

That's what I mean by 'sleep with it'. Don't want you to think I'm weird or something. :D

The glossy orange handle scales are a nice touch.Probably adds a little more grip when dry but maybe slippery when wet.

I find it kinda attractive as well, in a way. It looks like a user, as Becker should, like it's just waiting to do some work. Good job!

Don't know why, but it kinda reminds me of rafting the Big Pigeon. I like it though!
