So.. watcha doing this weekend everyone? I'll be doing some grillin' for my parents tonight, and the rest of the weekend I'll be stowed away in the shop in a mad rush to finish knives before blade. Gotta finish a fighter, campknife, hunter, and a couple of tantos. I think I'm going to mix up a variation of som superquench and edge-quench some clay-coated 1095 just to experiment. :D And if I get a chance, I might work on my craptastic little website.

My fiance is not happy with me right now. :D

I need to HT my wedding cake knife. Its a big one...of course! I got Acedalyne (sp.) last night to be sure I had enough. Hope to get a nice hammon on it......

But tonight I'll be playing Yugio with my to be 11 yr. old step son! Its a pretty cool cardgame, but i'd rather be in the building working on something new.

A certain 5'2"Cherokee squaw hasn't told me yet what I'm gonna do. I just took out the trash so it's my turn, right? She doesn't have a chanch this weekend because it's raining, so nix on the yard! That = more shop time, huh? I have to clay the pot of my rivet forge and get it ready to go. I figure it will get a canister as hot as I want to have it for trying to make some canister mokume. She ought to be doing things her ancestors were doing, anyhow. Like scraping a hide, cooking, giving me a backrub,........... right?

John -- I hope your wife doesn't visit the forums!! :D

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You got that right! Nope, she is on the other one, searching for free stuff, her present passion. I had to put a post in the ground and put up a BIG mailbox to hold all the free stuff that started showing up in the mail. Poor mailman. Oh, yeah, I gotta go visit my rock saw buddy this weekend and get some finish work done. I haven't forgotten you, Dan (Pen.).

Hopefully get my cutting comp knife finished and get my motorcycle put back together. 60 mpg sounds good right now. Y'all have a good one.

After you crack that blade in the super quench. Try useing a *teapot quench.
*Sprinkling the blade from a teapot.

:D :D :D

Oh yeah, it's going to crack, but I gotta try it out. :D

Headed to Bangor(pronounced Bang Her),Maine this weekend with the wife and two kids.

Not much time for working on the blades I have going now.

Played hookey from work today. Welded so much on a new bbq smoker I ran out of mig wire. Not a problem, though. I shifted gears and sparked up the charcoal forge and filled up a cooler fulla beers and spent the afternoon at the bbq pit out back. Made new set of tongs and smacked out a blade out of O-1. GOT A LITTLE DRUNK TOO! Hell yeah, playin' hookey is the bombdiggity!

:D
