After using different lockbacks like SOG and Kershaw they just don't compare in craftsmanship to the LB8. Just had to post an LB8 thread. Anyone else carry one?

Hedger, i absolutely agree with you. my experience is with LB7s. i have about 20, a few mint, others well used, but all have smooth, tight blade action and 100% tight lock-up and zero play.
and yes, Schrades are very impressive how a "working man's" knife was always built to such fine tolerances that 20 or more years later the function is still perfect.
i have not found this to be so reliably true with any other manufacturer.

An LB8 was my first introduction to Schrade and everything else Schrade I have is because of it....I still use that same LB8 today for cutting plastic ties on signs...if you respect them Schrades should last you a lifetime...I just dont have enough lifetimes for all my Schrades!!! Hoo Roo
