I actually just received a hot diggity dog dagger today, and was throwing it at a tree. All of a sudden I hear a metal "ting" sound and the knife falls. It must have hitten something in the tree that I was completely in aware of. I looked and looked for what it was. Anyway how do I go about getting it fixed?

grind or file the top and then you won't have to grind the edge, easy enough

Shoot Renee over at Scrapyard and let her know what happened. She will take care of you.

Well, thank Jaybus for Busse warranties...

I really do mean that. For context, I have heard other makers describe throwing their knives as "gross abuse".

Yeah, that's "other makers". Bussekin knives, the only response I've read re: throwing is, "Awesome."

For comparison, here is a Rodent 9 against an old oak carcass:

There are many more such videos, and much commentary in the bussekin forums, none of it condemning the activity as "gross abuse". These are not kitchen knives or hand-crafted skinners, they are tough suckers. That tiny tip-break could be considered "normal wear and tear" for these tools, but I'm sure the shop would be willing to fix it up (i.e. grind it back) as it's a small job.
