Or Equinox Coronado Hawk for the uninitiated.
I got one of Vec's trailhawks last week. Multicam beauty. I have used it to whack something everyday for the last week. Thursday I got home early and spent an hour and a half clearing brush on the property with it and only it. My first and biggest concern with the hawk was possible fatigue because of the shaft shape. Well, there wasn't any. While my arm was tired, I had no hot spots on my hand anywhere and my hand was not tired of gripping the hawk. This is amazing. Anyone that uses tools for a living knows that ergonomics are very important and that fatigue will set in after awhile with a poor handle shape. I was very much expecting the corners of the inside face to cause some hot spots. None what so ever. The nylon cordura stayed grippy even with a nice layer of sweat on it. I was really trying to find something about the hawk that I did not like. Honestly I can't.
If you haven't already ordered one of Vec's creations, get one.
