This is some crazy forging talent! Check out the fork truck operators. Everything about this is cool! I need to make me some of them tongs too:thumbup:

I guessed it was a large OD weld neck flange early on. Family had a PVF Supply and used to sell them. Used to all be made here by Ladish, Crane, B&W,.... You know the story.

All i know is it was a big dang flange! Pretty cool how the fork lifts poked and prodded the thing to rotate the piece. Just like the Kamis swapping off hits and such but on a much larger scale! Did ya notice at the end the lathe they used to finish it off? Way cool! I was wondering how they quenched and tempered that thing? Maybe they just dropped it off into the river or had a Nepali Kami with a fire hose standing by to temper it:D Nonetheless that was way Khul!!!

Hey, Kamidog! Just back from Hawai'i. Pretty cool video. I do have some humongous tongs similar to some of those seen. They were used by the real Maytag Company in the foundry years ago.

Welcome back Bookie. I'm all over being upset not getting an invite to go to Hawaii with you. Irene is still a bit miffed but she'll get over it, really she will.

Hope you had a good time and drank a lot of them drinks with little umbrella's in them in case it rains or something. Don't want to dilute the medicine I guess.

Hawai'i:eek: I know better than going to Hawai'i. Ill have to sell the farm and everything I own if I go there. I know better cause Id never come back. I have been know to buy one way tickets to tropical islands knowing dang well i wont be back for years:D Hope you had a great trip! Thought you would get a kick out of that video:thumbup:
