UK made knives!

Hey everybody, Your friendly neighborhood Savage here. I'm going to be heading to the UK this Summer and I want to pick up a new blade as a souvenir/memento. And I don't mean some kind of non-functional piece. I have a pretty decent collection, but I like to use my knives.

I was thinking about something bushcrafty, since I'm a bushcrafty/huntery type of guy and I'll be camping in the Scottish Highlands on this trip for a 4-6 days while I'm out there.

Any suggestions on what I should pick up? Again, let's stick to something made in the UK please. I have been eyeballing 'The Bushcraft Store: Boar' knife.

Yeah, I've read up on the knife laws already, and I already know they have a bit of a nanny state going on. I'm not going to carry in towns and avoid that mess altogether despite the fact I'll feel naked.

hi your not going to have any problems carrying a sak any were you go or with lock knives with your camping gear . And you wont have any probs with the police unles your running around with your knife like a maniace lol and its more than likely you will never see a cop . As for shops that sell good knives there hard to find . Were in scotland are you going ?

That's what I gathered. In Scotland I'll be Glen Coe, Glen Etive, Glen Lyon and Loch Rannoch. I haven't really decided which.

May I recommend glencoe* lochaber* Ben Nevis .it's beautiful and historical .take a walk to fort William .their is a small hunting store ther .I can't remember the name .its in the town centre near the tourist information .they had some nice knives the last time I was there .but that was a good couple of years back .keep your eye's open for A.wright & son they make some really nice bushcraft knives
