UK Pen question

My FRN model does .It isn't a strong stop like a flat tang on a traditional slip joint but there is a notch and a noticeable stop.

The the half stop on the FRN is much lighter than the G-10 version with full length spring.

Even with light half spring(only goes halfway back on FRN frame) the FRN and G-10 is the safest non locking knife I've ever held. The way your finger falls into the choil makes it impossible to close it on yourself.

My favorite is the G-10 (FG/DP), but the FRN is a super light knife at a great price.

When the UK penknife is open at full stop, is the spring holding the blade open as strong as regular slipjoint knives like Schrade, Buck, etc? Thanks.

With the G10 and CF versions, the spring is at least as strong as any traditional slipjoint.

I think the spring feels secure enough in the open position on any of the models. On the G-10 version, it's definitely far more secure than a traditional slipjoint. On the FRN version, I'd say it's about the same.

How grippy are the FRN handles? What other Spyderco handle could you compare it to?
