UK PenKnife Titanium Blade Off Center

Hello,

I recently bought a UK PK Tianium. All in all it's a great knife, but unfortunately I have a problem with the blade centering. When closed, the blade is about 1mm off to the right. It doesn't rub against the scales, so this is just an optical issue, but nevertheless it bothers me.
I would be pleased if anybody could give me a hint to solve this problem. Is there anything I can do to adjust the blade?
I tried to tighten the pivots screw, then I released the screws on the handle and retightened them while pushing the blade to left side of the handle, but it doesn't work.
After searching I couldn't find a fitting possibility to solve this problem for a titanium Slipjoint...

p.s.: Sending the knife to Spyderco isn't a possibility for me, because I life in Europe and this just takes to much time...

Thank You very much!

Here is what I've found to work in most cases of off-center blades.

I loosen all the screws, just enough so that the scales are somewhat loose but still together.
With the knife closed, shift the scales in opposite directions up or down and see which direction helps to move the blade towards the center.
When the blade has moved towards the right direction slightly, tighten the screws on the scale starting from the end opposite the pivot and work your way up.
The blade might not be exactly centered at this point, but will start to align itself when you tighten the pivot.

Hope this helps.

Here's another way to do it (as per Rico801 on USN who got it from Rick Hinderer), slightly different from gooeytek's but in the same vein:

1. Open blade to 90 degrees and tighten pivot so that it is really tight.

2. Close the blade and loosen frame screws so they aren’t tight, but still holding the frame together.

3. While the blade is still in the closed position, pull blade towards the side you want the blade to move. In my case, I pulled the blade toward the liner/scale.

4. While pulling blade, tighten the frame screws.

5. Loosen the pivot and adjust it to the desired tension.

Thank you very much for your quick answers.

@gooeytec: Unfortunately, shifting the scales in opposite directions has not been possible with this knife. I think with others ones this could be a good way...
@kreole: Your method worked quite well! The blade centering is still not perfect, but it looks noticeably better now!
