My wife and I bought new bedroom furniture recently so I had to transfer everything from one set of drawers to another. As I emptied the last "junk" drawer on our bed to do a binge and purge, what falls out, but my black G-10 UKPK.

To be honest I actually forgot I still had it, I could have sworn I sold it long ago in a fit of a "too many worldly possessions" thing I go through now and then. I dusted it off, blew it out with compressed air, gave it a quick wipe down with Tuff Cloth and it's as good as new.

My usual EDC for the past period has been one of my many Kershaw Skylines, and I don't see those being eliminated any time soon, but the UKPK is back on the EDC a la carte menu. It's such a great knife, so well made, and feels so good in the hand. I'm liking it so much so that I bought two of the FRN drop point versions to mix in.

So you can teach an old dog new tricks, have a great weekend everybody, and Gods bless.

UKPK is my junk drawer EDC as well. I swapped it out for SAK only because the can opener has saved the day at least five times this summer. It was great for fishing in the spring though. I have never got the Gin-1 take a spec of rust.
