I just purchased a UKPK in S110V as my entry back into the world of one-hand openers and pocket clips and such, but I can't find much in regards to the HRC on the blades. I found one post from Sal saying they run at 62-63 HRC, but that post is like five years old so I'm wondering if that's still accurate to their current offerings.

62-64 is the response I got when I emailed a few months back.
I guess that kind of is the most obvious course for someone wondering as I was, thanks for letting me know.

As for the knife, I got the UKPK today and am pretty dang impressed. Wonderful knife.

Thanx carboniferous. We run them pretty hard. I think you'll like it. I carry one often. easy to carry and use, Crucible did a great job on the steel.

So far I certainly do! Still haven't had a chance to put the steel to any kind of real work, but I'm enjoying everything else about the knife. Love the half-stop (I always miss it when I buy a slipjoint without a half-stop, the walk just isn't as nice, but I never knew how much I'd enjoy it on a one-hander), the dark blue gives the FRN some character I find the black FRN lacking (really nice texturing on it, too), and GREAT grinds. Almost flawless, as good as I've ever had on a knife from the factory. First knife I've had featuring a pocket clip in years, I think the wire clip is super classy. Ergonomics are great too, knife is extremely comfortable to hold, just really great design + execution all around.

Any plans for a BD1 UKPK in something besides black any time soon?

Edit: I love the action on this thing! Fun to just open and close:

This is an excellent knife! One of the all time greatest designs, right up there with the military imo.
Thanks Sal for this excellent piece! PLEASE make this available in Maxamet!
