Does anyone know when these may be available? I would love to see them soon!

It has been four months now, and I still cannot get theses out of my head. I am obsessed I guess.
Sal - Please tell us when these may be a reality!

Your biggest fan!

I have been wondering as well. I have the titanium version on preorder, but would like to know a general street date.

I now see that at least the CF version is now available. WOO-HOO

Im betting that since they have clearly done a production run of the carbon fiber version, that now they will move on to do the Ti version.
I sure hope so, thats gonna be an amazing knife.

Mine arrived - I am definitely impressed. Great fit and finish - smooth action, with the right amount of "click" - this knife really walks and talks.

CF is out, I've had mine for a couple weeks.

After using my CF version for the last week or so, I am just wondering why any folding knives have liners at all. Liners seem so irrelevant now. The only real reason would be if the knife had a bolster and fragile handle slabs that needed support. Just a random thought. This modern slippie is awesome. Very non-traditional, but in a very improved and modern way. Sweet!!!

i was looking for pictures of the new 2011 spyderco catalog and this came up while i was searching. i dont know if there are any other pictures up yet or not. it appears to be the new titanium slip-it

Hi David,

Thanx for the kind comments.

Another reason for a liner is to have a secure anchor for clip screws. The UK uses a barrel bolt to hold the wire clip in so no clip screws are needed.

Sal -
Your Welcome - you deserve them! However, a full liner is not required to anchor clip screws. Just a molded in nut or inlaid and tapped "washer" is required. The benefit would be that the nut or washer could be as thick as you would need to effectively support the threaded clip screws. No more stripped threads in those liners, where you are surely balancing weight, cost, and thickness to support the threads. :):)

Just my $.02 - But I love those wire clips!
