Last year I went in big with Blade Brothers Knives from Kharkiv, Ukraine. :)

Not sure if this counts as a review...more of an overview and enthusiastic sharing of knife joy...🤔

There are other brands, such as BPS Knives which are more widely/easily available, and various custom makers, naturally.

So what do you all think?
Have you tried any knives from Ukraine, and if so, what are your impressions?

Pics welcome. :)

I have one of the "Rosemary" kitchen knives from BPS. Gets a ton of use during canning season. Very handy little blade.

I have a couple of BPS knives I bought a few years back. They seem to be a good value for the money spent. I haven't looked to see how prices have evolved with tariffs and whatnot.

Their knives seem to get good reviews. Haven't seen anything negative about them, to tell the truth.
I don't think many on this side of the pond know they exist.

The Rosemary is quality though, and pretty nice looking. I like the look of their Finn Lite as well but would probably for a Helle or Mora first in that category.

That does look pretty cool.
Sheath looks decent too.

There is a company called Strongway Tools in Ukraine; I've been wanting one of their axes since I first learned of them. You can see them in this thread below...

I don't have any knives from BPS, but I did buy a leather sheath from them not too long ago. It was less than $20 for really good quality, thick leather. That alone tells me they probably do a decent job with their knives.

Can be used as a dangler or belt loop.

Those look really nice!
Now I need to get an axe too... :D

Not bad!
I could use an extra sheath or two.

Never heard of them before.

I like that drawknife they make, might need to try that out.

It's a solid little knife :) I keep it in my desk at work for eating apples and stuff. The Adventurer and Raven models are great too. The Adventurer could easily be the only knife one takes with them out in the woods if they aren't looking to build a log cabin with a 5.5" knife. The Raven is very similar in size and stainless. Not the most high end of materials, but they quality for the price is there.

BPS is about the best bang for the buck out there. They are still inexpensive, prices don't seem to have been affected by tarrifs. They are well made, and seem to be able to take a good bit of rough treatment.
This one is the Adventurer being used by my 10 yo grandson to start a fire

This one is the Aura, one of 200 made with blue micarta and N690 blade

This knife is from a place called Ostvytsya. They are a shop in Rivne that produces items that are based on historical 9th-12th century Viking items discovered at local archeological sites. High carbon steel, 6000 year old bog oak. Its small enough to go in a pocket, super thin blade cuts and slices really well.
