I have worked out a new type of lock for a folding knife that offers several advantages over existing locking mechanisms.
What I am talking about is, its new for me and my one thinking about having a mechanism wich is locking the blade in open and closed position.
Maby there will be something like that out in the world, I hope not
This new lock consists of only two components and can be used in a number of different folding knife configurations, for example:
1. The blade can be locked in an opened position as well as in a closed position.
2. The blade can be opened without having to be unlocked and locks in the open position.
3. Knives with assisted opening.
4. Automatic knives, that is, automatic opening with the blade locking in open and closed positions.
5. Flippers.
All of this is possible with only two components.
This shown folder is a funktional knife to test the mechanism.
I am working with this folder in the testing time
and it works great.
Thanks for looking.
