i remember a thread started by codger about ulster b.s.a. knives, and i decided to get me one. i had previously been using a camillus b.s.a. knife, but since i got the ulster, i canned the camillus. the ulster has darker, more toned handles, and it also ha brass liners which the camillus didnt. i have found the quality of the ulster is much better than camillus. i also managed to snag my daughter a imperial girl scout knife. its not old, but it works for her. thanks codger for sharing those articles about ulster knives. if i hadnt seen'em, i wouldnt have ever known they made'em. i think the ulster boy scout knives are a great addition to any collection, i sure am enjoying mine!!!

Several years ago -12 or 13- I bought a box of knives for $100 that didn't fit the retailers scheme. He had gotten them in a knife/gun deal and they were average type knives. I put them up and forgot about them. Last Fall I found the box in a corner of the house and looked. There must have been 70 knives in the box. In it were 3 Ulsters, 3 Camillus and 2 Case Scout knives. The Ulsters have the BSA logo and are in pretty good shape. One of the Cases is about new and the Camillus are also very presentable.
I had forgotten them again until this moment. There is also a KaBar scout type.

The Ulster Scout knives were good ones. Glad you got some inspiration here. Now, if I could just find myself an affordable mint bone example!
