Hello All, this is my first time posting in the traditional subforum and already i see 3 contests going, seems like i need to visit more often lol

anywho like the title indicates i have this classic knife that while is in good condition it is most definitely a user. the main problem i find is that the marlin spike has severe blade play (or spike play as it were) and its something id like to have fixed, whether by myself or a professional ill post a few pictures to show the wiggle

the last one was just for reference, also the jigged bone handles look a lot darker in the pic they more of an aged amber color

thanks again

bill deshivs is the guy to see about fixing your knife. i'll send him a link to your thread.

The first thing I would do is gently peen the pin holding the bail on.
Use a small hammer-like a tack hammer. Back the rivet on a solid steel surface (vise, anvil, etc.) and gently tap the rivet with wrist action only. Turn the knife over and do the same thing to the other side of the rivet.
Then, report back.

Thanks bill for the advice, i tapped it a few times and it definitely tightened up however the hidden pin holding it is sticking out now. just enough to be noticeable and snag some softer material, is there any way to sand it down and re polish it?
