won this on flea bay couple of days ago. I wanted it just cause you see so few ulster variations it seems like to me, and this one was one heck of a variation in my opnion. As a matter of fact I dont believe Ive ever seen any brand fish knife like that. we'll see when it gets here I guess.- Joel

NICE SCORE Joel! :thumbup::thumbup:
I have a couple without the gaff.
If you search the archives here I think LT posted about them a few years ago.

BTW, does yours have a blade etch? I don't know if they had one or not, just curious.

Nice Ulster Joel:thumbup:
That is my favorite pattern that has eluded me so far.
I bet with the gaff, thin handle and no lanyard, there is a bunch of those lying on the bottom of lakes :eek:

That is a good find!!!! It looks like it's built on the same frame as the 208,with solid bolsters.

That's cool! First time I've ever seen the gaff blade. I agree Keith, it might be a chore gaffing a big pike with that thing. :eek:

:thumbup:what a special find! NEVER seen one of those in any book or auction. must be very rare-good job!!

Thanks for the archive links Dale. I remember those. Back then all that "Gaffy" talk inspired me to bid on this one;

Got mine the other day, I'll have to post some pics, they sure thick! Mines not mint by any means but its one of the coolest fish knives I've ever owned. it didint have any rust or anyting on the back springs but it didint have any snap when it got here. It wasnt anything some schrade oil didint fix in a few minnutes now she snaps like a whip!- - Joel
