Horn dog...I don't have one either. Why? Who knows? They are cheap and universally beloved!

Derrick...I love the Fox River. I can't see why anyone would spend time in the woods without one.

The Frost Clipper seems more light duty to me. The key word being light. If I wanted to do light + heavier, then Fox River. Heavier + heaviest, Ranger.

Of course, now that I think about it, the ULTIMATE light duty fixed blade is the one I carry everyday...an AG Russell Woodswalker.

Of course, now that I say that, I wonder why you didn't say Mikro Canadian Derrick! :D

No contest. I'd take the Kitano any day. For sheer beauty, they can't be beat. This Katano (60606) goes for $360. It, too, is a sanmai steel. Gorgeous!

The tk1 retails for $495. I see them for $309 from Best Knives. That knife lo oks incredible. I would love to have one. I have looked at them many times on the various knife sites. That knife is beautiful. I may fall off the wagon and get one.

My vote goes to the Swampy. The little thing is built like a tank that ate another tank that was on crack.

If you are in that price range check out busse knives. You will not find a stronger blade or better warrenty.

Best 10 bucks you'll ever spend!

Best real world work knives out there.

Every knifenut knows the cheapest and smartest choice are Moras and Opinels (or Douk-Douks or Higonokamis)
But why don't knifenuts settle with these knives, why do we buy more knives than we actually need.
Why are we looking at ZDP while a good carbon steel will do?
Why these forums?
Tell me why !! :D:D:D
