Anyone have one of their folders they'd like to share an opinion on?

Sorry if this has been covered before; I did try the search function for a while but got no hits. Direction to a previous thread would be appreciated...

TIA

I had never herd of them until now,I just looked at there website and pricing seems right and they use s30v and cpm154 so at least you know your getting good materials. I don't know about craftsmanship tho, but they look well made. Since they use actual 1911 grips I think the folder would be to big even tho on the folders he's using officer's grips for me that would be to big. But I think it's a good idea And I'm going to get one of his fixed blade model's.

I have a couple of them one in each steel. Good knives in my opinion and his customer service is excellent. Mine are first generation and I have been happy with them. The grips did take a bit to get used to but I find them comfortable enough and use the knives quite regularly.

Look pretty good. I ordered a standard size folder in bright S30V/black G10.

As seen by my post count, I'm not much into knives. Got a few 45's and a bunch of grips though.:)

They look good and are priced fair, especially since they include a pair of M1911 scales, but they look way too blocky for me. Even though I collect M1911s, I don't think I'd buy any. I prefer more slender blades.

All I carry are small, light folders. This will mostly be a nice letter and box opener to set amongst the goodies on my desk.

Never had an S30V knife before, so I figure this is a good excuse to try one.

Seems pretty gimmicky to me. Although I could see myself taking this knife to the range with me and just keeping it in my range bag. That'd be the only occasion when I'd use it though. Oh hell, I'll put it on the list to get... but towards the bottom.

I have one in S30V and Ebony grips. Its nice and does feel good in hand but that's all its done for me. I never used it to cut anything and it stays in its box, in another box, in a drawer. It'll probably end up on the exchange once I get some time.

I have never understood the appeal of this knife. I own several 1911s and one of them is my main carry gun, but I would never buy a knife like that. Talk about an uncomfortable knife grip. What a gimmick. I have two 1911 grips here in front of me and squeezing them together to hold like a knife just does not work well. 1911= Great gun, not knife.

There was some info on another forum, apparantly these are made in China....but it doesn't say that anywhere on the website or the knife.

there is no pic of the pocket clip, can someone show a pic of there's,the fixed blade is the one i would buy...

It's certainly a gimmick, going by the definition. I'm quite sure it's not made in Canada (company's location), based on the relatively low price. It's obviously not all that practical compared to many other knives.

However, owning 50 'practical' knives isn't really all that practical either, is it?

I have a Bic lighter or three, but......

And this gun is way slower to shoot than other 45's I've got......

Thanks, untamed. I figured it must have been discussed here before.

The owner (Terry Huang) says that my knife should arrive here in CA around the end of October. I'll give it a mini-review when I have it in hand. Aerospace machining is my business, so I can at least half-way tell when metal thingies are made good or not.

^ Yer welcome!

I must admit I didn't pay much attention to it until THIS latest thread. Now its certainly got my heads-up, especially the lock making use of the magazine release design of the pistol.

As for a review, YES, PLEASE DO! We look forward to it especially from a discerning eye with a technical background like yours
