That's a beauty. Great price, too. The first one of these that I got was in 2011, and the price then was $199. Inflation proof?

Polish finish had to be removed to get the rust. But still more than worth the price.

These blades are relatively soft steel except near the edge. You should be able to get back a decent polish if you use progressively finer polishing compounds. Maybe not as good as the original, but close. I'd start with 2000 grit sandpaper in a small area of the blade. Then work your way up to 8000 grit powders, liquid polish, and so on. If 2000 grit is too fine for a start, try 1000 grit, then work your way up. The flat sides of the UF model make this process a little easier.

It's time consuming, but can be done while watching tv or just hanging out. Be sure to tape the edges (and especially the point) very securely, so you don't cut or stab yourself.

Very true. Just wanted to point the reason for this awesome deal. Of course if this becomes a user than it is perfect as is.

This is an exceptional tool and weapon made by a top shelf craftsman.

It's under priced...just because it don't shine...

Somebody but it, then either blue it, or etch it with ferric chloride....or both....

No matter what, that's a great bargain.
